GSBC FUNERAL MINISTRY

Greater Second Baptist Church is kingdom-minded. We serve members and non-members during their special hour of need. Non-members are defined as anyone who has not joined GSBC by way of Letter, Christian Experience, or Baptism and has not completed the New Members Orientation process.

We are more than happy to minister to the needs of all grieving families and we view funerals as a form of worship to God and a celebration of His love for the life we’ve been given.

The Ministerial Staff is trained to focus on honesty, love, and compassion for people. During the funeral service we preach the truth of the bible and encourage all participants with the Word of God as they begin their healing process. 

Please note the following guidelines of our church as we attempt to serve your family:

Any person requesting services from GSBC may request our Pastor, David Featherstone to be the eulogist. You may also request a guest eulogist if preferred, however, this person must be approved of by the Pastor.

The funeral service date and time must not conflict with any other services at GSBC. The Scheduling of the funeral service will be handled by our Church Secretary and Church Administrator, as well as in consideration of all calendar events and pastoral obligations.

At GSBC, we offer all bereaved families our Sanctuary for their funeral services at no cost. An optional love offering to offset the cost of operation is not required but will be gladly accepted. 

There are several optional paid-for services available to all families. 

Funeral Audio Design, Graphic Design, and livestreaming services are available. 

Graphic Design ($100): Our media team will design all on-screen production imagery for your loved one to be displayed during any family hour, viewing times, dining & repast service, and during the funeral service.

Audio Design ($25): Our media team will design a custom musical playlist to be played during any family hour, viewing times, dining & repast service, and during the funeral service.

Livestreaming Services ($250): Our media team will design a custom Livestream environment for your loved one’s funeral service to be broadcast on our church’s social media sites or to any other site that you administrate, at your request. GSBC socials, YouTube, Facebook, and www.greatersecond.org website.

Note** Hammond Organ & B3 Cabinet as well as other Digital Piano's are not availbe for guest musicians.
